Ecclesiastes 9:11

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Body Repositioning - Phase I

Ok, so here is my first blog of my weight loss journey.  I started my body repositioning on October 18th, 2010, and I'm not going to lie, this looks like a daunting task!  I've always been athletic, and until I hit my 20's, that really was enough.  I had a really good first day, I ate a sub for lunch with a peach and then at night we were invited to what turned out to be a wonderful dinner and time of fellowship!  The food was really good, and my main thing that has always gotten me in trouble has been portions, I can eat like no other, I've always gone back for seconds, and sometimes even thirds, so last night, I had told myself to eat but eat smart.  I had 3 slices of pork loin, a grilled chicken, and covered them just a little with barbecue sauce, I'm not a fan of barbecue really, but I like a little moisture on the meat, so I put it on, and a small bit of potato salad.  It was truly awesome!  I definitely could have gone back for more, but told myself not to, and after a while, I felt satisfied with what I had eaten, and I even was able to turn down the desserts which was extremely hard.  Mrs Myrna did such a wonderful job, I felt bad, but luckily enough people ate it that it looks like a dent was made.  All in all, I had a great first day.

I also would like to thank Darrell and Myrna Dorsey, they don't know me from Adam, but have welcomed us into the church and their lives like family in just the short amount of time we have known them.  I don't believe I had even met them yet when a ton of food showed up at moms for dads funeral and found out later that they had a hand in that too.  These are some truly awesome people, as everyone at our church has been.  It's funny, I have known some of these people since Dakota started school, and have for some reason never truly tried to know them, but these are some of the best friends I believe I have ever had, there is just something going on at our church that I have never had anywhere before.  Thank you everyone for being in our lives and for welcoming us into yours!
